Tony Petrello’s Charitable Acts

     Tony Petrello CEO and president of Nabors limited is a successful businessman and influential leader; Tony joined Nabors limited around 1991 in an executive capacity and has since seen the company grow to new heights. Before joining Nabors, Tony practiced law and had gained skills on matters concerning tax and finances. Once he joined Nabors, his skills helped him propel the company to higher levels especially in increasing their returns.

When we read of a successful and renowned person, hear about his life, we often forget that his life experiences are similar to ours, his struggles, as well as good times, are things we also experience. Tony Petrello is a husband as well as a father. Apart from playing his role in the family, he is also a warm person who enjoys hosting guests and having a good time with his family.

Recently, Tony welcomed Tommy Tune back home, Tony together with his wife Cynthia organized a welcome party for Tommy and hosted almost 50 guests to their house. Tony Petrello is also well known for his philanthropic nature; he is a giver and has participated in several donations even before joining Nabors.

Tony Petrello is a caring person and is passionate about ensuring people receive the essential things in life; when the hurricane hit Huston; Tony donated funds that would help cater for food for the affected families. He also allowed his employees to take paid off days, to help settle their families as well as help friends.

Tony also donated $5 million, to a research program that would help come up with treatment for children suffering from neurological disorders and ensure the life-threatening condition is solved and people affected have a better life.

One other thing that has also influenced his kind nature is his daughter’s condition. Tony Petrello’s daughter Carena was born prematurely and weighed 20 ounces, she was diagnosed with a neurological disorder (periventricular leukomalacia), this condition occurs due to lack of blood or oxygen flow to the brain, and unfortunately, the disease caused Carena to have cerebral palsy.

As caring and concerned parents, Tony and Cynthia had a lot of questions and concerns. They sort answers for their daughter’s condition, Tony and Cynthia have however discovered that one way to contribute positively to the society is aid research institutions to help come up with a cure for the condition before it severely affects a baby.

The couple has also established Petrello Family Foundation, which aims at equipping parents and the community with essential knowledge on medical issues as well as provide resources, they have also facilitated the establishment of Jan and Dan Neurological Research Institute.
